World Day Against Child Labour (12 June) Themes, Quotes & Significance.

It is also known as Anti Child Labour Day is observed every year on 12 June to highlight the impact of the crisis on child labour. Child labour is any work performed by children that is dangerous or harmful to them and affects their physical and mental development.

A country can only develop if it first develops a bright future for its children because the ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children. Let’s all together put an end to child labour!

“Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of man” — Rabindranath Tagore

“Children need models rather than critics” — Joseph Joubert, French moralist

“Children are like wet cement whatever falls on them makes an impression “- Haim Ginott, child psychologist

“The best way to make children good is to make them happy” — Oscar Wilde, author and poet

“You can’t regulate child labour. You can’t regulate slavery. Some things are just wrong” — Michael Moore

Let us stand against the social issue of child labour and save the childhood of many children. Let us not take away their childhood from them. Happy Child Labour Day. On 12th June use the hashtag #WorldDayAgainstChildLabour on social media to post pictures and slogans to encourage others to fight against child labour.
